I met Nancy and Tom in the early 90's in ISO meetings and since then we actually met twice a year in different places all over the world. The meetings lasted all week, five days. Tom and Nancy normally rented a car and after the meetings they took me with them to see many interesting places. We went to Niagra Falls, Monte Carlo, and drove one day around the Como lake in Italy. I have seen with them so many beautiful places. Also I visited them in Los Angeles and we went together to my son's concert. Some years ago when I went to Boston, they planned to come there, too and Tom proposed that we make a tour in Massachusetts. They wanted to show me that part of USA, but then your father died and we did not see each other any more.
Our friendship was very valuable to me. They both were very special persons, I respected Tom as a colleague but even more important was what they were as humans. In those ISO groups everybody liked them. Also during their retirement they worked voluntarily, Nancy as a school assistant and Tom teaching young people. The family was very important to them, I have heard so much of you, the daughters and of course especially the grandchildren. So you all can be happy and proud of your parents.
I wish you all the strength to go on and remember the good memories you have.
